Information on the major cruise ports of the USA

BOSTON – MASSACHUSETTS
hotels and accommodation in Boston, Massachusetts
hotels and accommodation in Boston, Massachusetts

Embarking for major cruise destinations throughout the Eastern Seaboard at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal – just minutes from downtown Boston – cruise passengers can start their trip early by exploring Boston’s rich history.

And there is no better way to do so than following the red brick line along the Freedom Trail where costumed historic characters lead visitors to 16 nationally significant historic sites.

Along the Freedom Trail several of the historic taverns from the time of George Washington and the American Revolution are open to the public in downtown Boston. Next to Faneuil Hall and the popular Faneuil Hall Marketplace is Union Street, the location of the Blackstone Block. Here are America’s oldest restaurant and taverns: The Union Oyster House, the Bell In Hand Tavern and The Green Dragon Tavern.

Of more recent historical interest is the USS Constitution Museum which brings to life the stories of the individuals who authorized, built, served on and preserved USS Constitution.

And of even more recent historical fascination is the newest CHEERS in Boston at Faneuil Hall Marketplace – the replica of the bar seen on the TV series, Cheers.

Among Boston's attractions: Boston Harbor Cruises, Old Town Trolley tours, The Museum of Fine Arts, the Science Museum, and the New England Aquarium.

There is no shortage of hotels in Boston ..... 161 hotels and still counting.
