Hurtigruten

Norwegian Coastal Voyage Inc. (NCV) is the sales and marketing arm in North America for Hurtigruten (formerly Norwegian Coastal Voyage) whose ships sail the spectacular fjord-filled west coast of Norway carrying cargo and passengers from Bergen to Kirkenes and back.

Hurtigruten operates daily year-round, carrying local and international passengers to 34 ports ranging from remote fishing villages to bustling cities. It serves as a lifeline to the small communities found along Norway’s coast. The 164- to 674-berth ships are floating galleries of contemporary Norwegian art and have panoramic lounges, a dining room, 24-hour café, bar and a shop. Many have an Internet café, Jacuzzis, saunas and a fitness room.

Hurtigruten, a leader in expedition cruising, has added the completely renovated 120-passenger MS Expedition to its air-inclusive Spitsbergen cruise-tours. The new ship will share duties with the MS Polar Star. Programs are available to Greenland. From October to March, two ships, including the new expedition ship MS Fram sail to Chile and Antarctica, the South Georgia Island and the Falklands,
