Hawaii BannerA cruise is the ideal way to see the Hawaiian Islands. Bad weather on one island doesn’t mean your whole holiday is ruined, you unpack once only, everything is included, and there is no need to worry about transport from one island to the next – that usually all happens while you’re asleep.

Everything is organized for you – even the shore excursions and the preparations for them in the form of educational lectures and safety demonstrations. No need to worry if you had no time to do your homework before you came, Miss . . .

An Hawaiian cruise is also perfect for return visits – there is plenty still to see on a second or even third Hawaiian cruise.

Hawaiian cruises are usually no longer than 1 week, though some beginning and ending in the USA tend to be a little longer. Similar options involve repositioning to the Polynesian Islands like Tahiti. These itineraries obviously offer a greater number of days at sea and attract a slightly different kind of cruise passenger.

Since 2006, Hawaii has become the fastest-growing cruise destination market in the United States with more than 250,000 passengers embark on cruises in Hawaii each year.

Cruise lines visiting Hawaii include Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, and the Yachts of Seabourn.

        HAWAII PORTS

Honolulu and the other Hawaii island ports are now the base for year-round, inter-island cruising and Norwegian Cruise Lines in particular is intent on making Hawaii a major player in the cruise industry. The cruise liners plying the Hawaiian waters are fortunate to have a choice of two other great destination ports-of-call – Hawaii Big Island's Hilo and Kailua-Kona. Lahaina in Maui, a traditional whaling town, is also a popular port-of-call for cruise liners.
