Elegant Cuises and Tours
Elegant Cruises and Tours, a cruise line known for offering diverse, culturally-focused itineraries, has joined the Niche Cruise Marketing Alliance (NCMA).
Elegant Cruises and Tours specializes in deluxe small ship expeditions of Europe, including Croatia and the Adriatic; the Azores and Atlantic Islands; the British Isles; the Baltic Sea , the Mediterranean Sea, and new for 2008, voyages to the Gulf of Bothnia. The family-owned and operated company is now celebrating its 20th year of operation.
The company owns two vessels. The 62-passenger yacht-like M.S. Monet is 223 feet long and features all outside cabins. The 105-passenger M.S. Andrea, an expedition ship, is 286 feet long. Both ships are able to visit smaller ports and snug harbors that would be impossible for larger ships.
All of the line's European cruise tours on the Monet and the Andrea include roundtrip air from select US gateways. Tour lengths range from nine to 20 days. In addition, the line offers 22-day transatlantic repositioning voyages from Montevideo, Uruguay to Las Palmas, Grand Canary Islands and Cadiz, Spain to Buenos Aires, Argentina, with roundtrip air from the United States included as well. The Andrea also offers cruises to Antarctica, the Georgian Peninsula and the Falkland Islands as well as South American cruises.
2008 Schedule of River Cruises
Majestic America Line will broaden its collection of great American travel experiences in 2008 to include 238 departures to some of the most distinct regions of the United States. The company's fleet of seven boutique river and coastal cruise ships will ply the mighty waters of the Mississippi, Ohio and tributary rivers; the Columbia and Snake Rivers in the Pacific Northwest and the breathtaking waterways of Alaska's Inside Passage.
These intimate, boutique ships offer 2-for-1 early advantage savings. In addition to the cruise itself, select shore excursions, soft drinks, specialty coffees, on board enrichments and entertainment programs are all included in the price.
There are several recent newcomers to the Niche Cruise Marketing Alliance.
With four luxury ships Pandaw River Cruises is the largest river cruise company in South-East Asia. In 1995 Pandaw was the first to pioneer and explore the region’s great rivers and their tributaries: the Irrawaddy and Chindwin in Burma, the Mekong and Tonle Rivers in Cambodia and the backwaters of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam.
Variety Cruises’ fleet of coastal yachts enables cruise passengers to enjoy the warmth and intimacy of a mega yacht at affordable prices in the Mediterranean and to relax in an atmosphere of casual elegance. Variety Cruises is the largest fleet of small cruise ships in the world for 50 or fewer guests.
Destinations cruised by American Canadian Caribbean Line embrace the US Atlantic Coast, Canadian Maritimes, St. Lawrence Seaway and Caribbean, exploring some of America's most historic waterways in a style reminiscent of private yacht vacations of a bygone era.
