Whenever you make a posting here at the Prow's Edge Cruise Message Boards / Cruise Forums, the ships company keeps a tally of the number of posts you have made and award you an honorary rank according to that number of posts.

The rankings are principally designed to show other member users how prolific you are, and perhaps, relatively speaking, how knowledgeable you are.

When you first enter the forum you are automatically awarded the rank of Able Seaman, and from that moment, depending on the number of posts you make, you can eventually rise through the ranks to the highest honor of all - the rank of Commodore.

The number of posts required for each rank is as follows:

Able Seaman : 1-9 posts
3rd Officer : 10-19 posts
2nd Officer : 20-29 posts
1st Officer : 30-49 posts
Captain : 50-69 posts
Commodore : 70 posts and more
