The Corpus Christi/San Antonio Cruise Connection offers cruise passengers the opportunity to explore South Texas – and in particular two of its outstanding destinations: Corpus Christi (with its new multi-purpose cruise terminal) and San Antonio, home to the historic Alamo.
Downtown Corpus Christi is minutes from beautiful beaches and attractions like the USS Lexington, an acclaimed naval aircraft carrier that is now a museum, and the Texas State Aquarium, which offers a glimpse of life beneath the Gulf waters.
Corpus Christi is connected to Padre Island, a 110-mile long island that is one of the last unblemished natural seashores in the United States. The island is preserved as Padre Island National Seashore and is home to native plants, wildflowers, and wildlife such as the endangered Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles.
Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio is The Alamo, today a shrine and museum. Among San Antonio’s other attractions are the River Walk, The Plaza Wax Museum, the San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium and the Witte Museum. The Institute of Texas Culture hosts the Folklife Festival. The city also has two major theme parks: SeaWorld of Texas, the world's largest marine life park, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
