USA PORTS OF CALL – Los Angeles, California

Ports of Call - USA - California - Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe World Cruise Center is one of the busiest cruise passenger complexes on the West Coast. Homeport of "The Love Boat" television series, the World Cruise Center is the premier gateway to Los Angeles and Southern California.

In a city that spans 467 square miles, getting out to explore all there is to see and do in Los Angeles might seem overwhelming – there's Downtown LA, the San Fernando Valley and coastal communities, not to mention smaller cities such as Beverly Hills and Pasadena.

Within walking distance or short ride of each other are the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Japanese-American Museum, the Los Angeles Central Public Library, the Grand Central Market, the Broadway historic district, El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument (Olvera Street) and more. One of the largest public art collections in the US, the Getty Center in Brentwood, is a post-modern castle set on a hilltop overlooking the city.

The Hollywood & Highland entertainment complex, with shops, restaurants, movie theaters (including Grauman's Chinese Theatre), the Kodak Theatre (home of the Academy Awards) and The Highlands (one of LA's hottest nightspots) have helped raise Hollywood's glamour to new heights.

Los Angeles County has more hotel rooms, 107,500, than all but two other metropolitan areas in the United States (Las Vegas and Orlando).
