The City of Norfolk, a 400-year-old port city and home to the largest naval base in the world, hosts some 62,000 cruise passengers every year heading for Bahamas and the Caribbean aboard Holland America and Carnival Cruise Line ships.
Within walking distance of their cruise ship, passengers can explore Nauticus, The National Maritime Center and take a walk on the deck of the largest and last battleship – the USS Wisconsin.
Many spend a night or two in one of Norfolk’s many hotels planning a day in neighboring Colonial Williamsburg, a trip to nearby Virginia Beach or Busch Gardens.

Norfolk celebrates the 400-year-anniversary of the Jamestown Expedition with many other important cities in the region including Jamestown, Charles City and Williamsburg.
