A survey of Australia and New Zealand’s leading luxury travel agencies has seen them vote Myanmar (formerly Burma) as the must-see country to visit this year – just as SeaDream Yacht Club has revealed itineraries for two first-ever visits to the country later this year by the world’s Number One-rated boutique mega motor-cruiser, SeaDream II.
The travel agencies cited Myanmar’s attractions to discerning travellers as “its fascinating culture, people and unspoiled nature… where tourism is still in its infancy.”
SeaDream II that has just 56 staterooms and 95 crew, will visit Myanmar as part of 13-day voyages embracing 10 ports and islands from Singapore to Phuket on November 25 this year, and 9 ports and islands from Phuket back to Singapore on December 8.
Both will include almost a day each at Pila Kyun and Thahtay Kyun islands in Myanmar’s 800-island Mergui Archipelago, and two days in the former colonial capital Yangon. The other various islands and ports visited are in Thailand and Malaysia.
Until March 15 SeaDream Yacht Club is offering an additional 10% off the already discounted prices on their 6 month Asian sailing season including these two sailings, bringing prices down to as low as US$8224pp twin-share Singapore-Phuket, and from as low as US$8044pp twin-share Phuket-Singapore.
